Liz McNeil

Community of Practice Manager, HCDExchange

Overall it was a fantastic experience. Right from the start there was a willingness to collaborate and it seemed like they really understood what we were hoping to accomplish through working together on this design session event. We had a great work flow, Meru and Pratyush were really proactive and you could tell that they had put a lot of thoughtfulness into the work -- they were prepared with great ideas each time we met. They were also open to feedback, which really helped to co-create a session that felt really relevant and engaging for our audience.

Our brief to Tinkerlabs was to bring together behavioural economics and design thinking. The goal was to equip a diverse set of stakeholders to address the latent needs of an underserved market. We wanted to do this is a way that empowered the users and also ensured viabilty for the supply side. Weeks of rigourous research, ideation and field testing later, we have a data mine of invaluable user insights and innovative market tested ideas. Kudos to the team for their drive, design acumen and holistic approach to research. I’ll be watching this space.

Results Delivery Officer and Lead, Knowledge Management, KHPT

The team’s openness to feedback, willingness to adapt and apply its approaches to suit our organisation’s program priorities; the team’s resolve to dig deep and understand the nuances of the issue in question; openness to defend what it believes works best (from a behaviour lens) and of course a wonderful, happy and approachable team that gelled in perfectly well with us. TinkerLabs team is technical sound, process-oriented and creative.

Director, Behaviour Change, Splash International

Our experience with TinkerLabs was fantastic. They were one of the most kind, responsive and organized consulting partners I've ever worked with. They had a clear vision for achieving our goals and worked incredibly well with us and external partners. Their responsiveness, kindness, and active listening/engagement stood out for me. I could always depend on them to really absorb and integrate our feedback. I also was really impressed by the ease of collaboration with their partner organization - it was clear there was a lot of respect and care formed in short order.

Head, Anti-Human Trafficking, Save The Children, India

Human trafficking is a very complex issue and the interventions are even more complex. We have been on an amazing journey with TinkerLabs using design thinking to find a creative solution. Globally, there are well known strategies on prevention, prosecution, policy advocacy, victim protection, etc. However, what we are doing with TinkerLabs which is very helpful is that we are challenging our own mental models, not being judgmental about the various stakeholders and building new, creative, innovative strategies by taking feedback from the end stakeholders. We now have some solid solutions to deal with the human trafficking problem in a much better and smarter way. Thank you TinkerLabs!

Director, Programs, FHI 360

It was a pleasure to work with the TinkerLabs team. You did a great job at re-organising the CNA findings which began to make so much more sense after they were put in a new framework. The orientation on HCD after the ideation workshop and getting the participants to come up with such and exhaustive list of creative ideas was not easy, but you handled the process very well. The final report of the workshops looks very impressive. We hope to continue our collaboration on other projects.
